ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Learn, utilize, and promote Arctic IT’s Best Practices and Implementation Methodology.

  • Work with team members and independently to support, develop, and configure Microsoft SharePoint solutions and key third-party products.

  • Leads client meetings to gather business requirements and design solution that meets the requirements.

  • Perform gap analysis from requirements gathered to solution proposed.

  • Complete design/configuration of the applications.

  • Complete project documentation such as: Functional Requirements Document, Technical Design Documents, User Acceptance Test Scripts, and End User Training Documentation.

  • Build integrations to perform data conversions.

  • Build integrations from external systems to/from SharePoint.

  • Design custom data structures as required for the application.

  • Utilize Microsoft Visual Studio to develop and maintain source code and track outstanding items following the Arctic IT development process.

  • Lead all tasks relating to feature testing, solution testing, and user acceptance testing.

  • Perform end user training for clients in a one on one, webinar and classroom style settings.

  • Provide application support for clients.

  • Assist with escalation support for help desk.

  • Works with management to keep projects on schedule and recommend needed action to meet deadlines.

  • Perform demonstrations of solutions to clients, as required.

  • Mentor Consultants on SharePoint Best Practices.

  • Support Client Services Manager with various duties.

  • Maintains currency on level of professional/technical knowledge.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or other related field

  • 6+ years’ experience implementing Microsoft SharePoint with a deep understanding of overall architecture, hierarchy, and administration of the farm

  • Currently certified in SharePoint 2013 or higher

  • Experience with governance, configuration, customization, and modifying the look & feel of SharePoint sites

  • Experience analyzing and designing SharePoint solutions

  • Experience deploying and supporting complex SharePoint farms for large enterprises

  • Experience planning for and completing content migrations, including restructuring site hierarchies

  • Deep understanding of Central Administration as well as on-line management and configuration capabilities

  • Experience supporting SharePoint environments, including Search, taxonomy, and other services

  • Experience upgrading SharePoint solutions to newer versions

  • Experience managing Microsoft SharePoint On-line and on-premise/hosted applications for versions 2010, 2013, and 2016

  • Experience with 3rd party SharePoint content management and governance tools

  • Experience managing security for large SharePoint deployments, with detailed knowledge on Active Directory, User Profile Sync service, and group-based security

  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio including Team Foundation Server or equivalent source control system

  • Working knowledge of common project implementation methodologies and best practices

  • Desired experience with Windows Server Operating Systems and Microsoft Exchange

  • Skills in Microsoft SQL server, including SSRS and SSIS a strong plus

  • Valid driver’s license and insurance

  • Applicants subject to government security investigations and must meet eligibility requirements related to the clearance process.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The majority of work is performed in a professional office setting with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities and abilities. Job may require some travel. Ad hoc support after hours as needed for emergency business related situations.
