Marketing and Communications Coordinator - Georgetown University Campus Recreation
Dedicated towards the cultivation of the 'whole' person, Georgetown University’s Campus Recreation at Yates Field House provides a variety of opportunities for all students to enhance their university experience through recreation, fitness, and well-being. Through our various sport and recreation programs, students are given the opportunity to connect with each other and experience personal growth in a fun, comfortable, and challenging yet safe environment.
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator oversees the design,coordination, development, production, and distribution of print, video, digital, andonline advertising and promotional materials to support Campus Recreation and wellnessprograms, facilities, events, and services. S/he brands and communicates the Campus Recreation message to the Georgetown University community and stakeholders. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator has duties that include but are not limited to:
Manages independent and collaborative Marketing Projects within budget constraints.
Develops and successfully implements a Marketing Strategy to increase Facility Memberships within and outside of Georgetown University.
Researches and manages online and community advertising opportunities to increase membership.
Designs and produces high quality print and written materials needed to advertise and promote programs, facilities, events, and services.
Creates and publishes engaging visual content for digital signage.
Provides content updates, graphic support, design animations, and web banners for program and facility web pages/blogs.
Designs layout and compiles content for monthly email newsletter through the customer management system.
Creates and assesses all department social media content, engages with social media followers, and develops social media campaigns.
Manages the department’s visual brand and oversees maintenance, updates, and general troubleshooting of department marketing software and equipment.
Assists in the planning and execution of student engagement events promoting fitness, wellness, and recreation.
Represents the department at various University and community orientations, fairs, and outreach events.
Supervises Graduate Assistant/student staff.
Works with student employees to manage the design, photography, and videography needs of the department.
Experience with graphic design software programs including (but not limited to) Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and HTML
Analytical, creative and resourceful in identifying new strategies and approaches to branding and creation of media/graphic content
Demonstrated proven success collaborating with a high performing team
Ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines and priority levels
High energy, team-oriented, and customer-focused with a passion for excellence
Strong core values and the ability to operate with the utmost integrity
Highly organized with a self-directed approach to work
Availability to work some evenings and weekends
