Description
Job Summary:
Operation, maintenance, and logistic support of Shadow Tactical UAV System in Viterbo Italy.
Supports the Italian Armed Forces and acts in a direct support capacity as a representative of AAI corporation.
Pursues company objectives at the customer location
Provides technical and doctrinal expertise to Shadow TUAS system end users
Provides program-related mentorship to the customer on a routine basis
Proactively engages in planning and coordination of logistical sustainment and tactical operations
Monitors system operational readiness and manages local stock levels
Manages inventory databases and executes supply chain functions
Performs field level repair of shadow TUAS assets, including troubleshooting, fault isolation, and the execution of remedial action
Conducts maintenance work orders and technology insertions for Shadow TUAS assets
Supports the aviation mishap investigation processes and develops estimated cost of damage (ECOD)
Work in groups or independently with minimal or no supervision
Travel occasionally within Italian territory to support the customers’ needs
Will at times be required to work odd shifts, weekends, and/or extended hours
Responsible for data management, collection and generation
Practices ISO 9001 principles and concepts
Responsibilities:
Utilizes effective and professional communications provide technical and logistical mentorship to the customer
Work in groups or independently with minimal or no supervision
Travel within Italian territory to support the customers’ needs
Will at times be required to work odd shifts, weekends, and/or extended hours
Provides general logistics functions to include shipping and receiving of Hazardous Materials
Performs upgrades to enhance system capabilities and provide additional features
Troubleshoots technical problems and issues and determines technical solutions
Responsible for data management and generation
Audits assigned FSRs to ensure compliance with unit FSR responsibilities to include MMF inventory accuracy and GOP compliance
Responsible for accurate and timely maintenance record keeping (COLTS)
Qualifications
Qualifications:
2 year degree of a minimum of five years of related experience
Experience in maintenance and repair of Unmanned Air Vehicle systems is a must
Experience with basic UNIX networking preferred
Experience with Cisco and Juniper router protocols highly desired
Experience with COLTs, ELAS, and UAS-I data bases preferred
Strong knowledge of TAMMS and TAMMS-A policies
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Prior military service in aviation maintenance disciplines is strongly desired
Ability to quickly learn through on-the-job training and independent study
Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation; and ability to evaluate, isolate, and repair malfunctions
Ability to conduct one on one and small group training
Familiarity with customer expectations, policies, and business practices and high customer satisfaction orientation
Ability to work independently or on a team with minimal supervision
Must be willing to relocate to Italy for a minimum of one year
This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions
This position is subject to noise
Must be available for late May start date. Must hold and maintain a U.S Secret clearance. Must be willing to relocate to Italy immediately after graduation of 13-week training class which is held in Hunt Valley, MD.
