Robert Half Finance & Accounting Payroll Administrator in Herndon, Virginia
Performs tasks to maintain employee records and pay employees. Duties include the checking and auditing of timecards for compliance, entering new hires information as it relates to payroll into accounting and payroll systems, posting changes in pay and tax status, processing routine labor and payrolls for the company and removing terminated employees from systems. Download standard reports and running custom written reports as required.
Review and audit timekeeping records for compliance with established government and company standards. Identify errors and work with the employee, supervisors and/or accounting to correct errors.
Load timecard data into the accounting system to create labor file. Review for errors and reconcile to spreadsheets.
Add additional earnings not related to timecards into accounting system as needed.
Process leave accruals in accounting system.
Ensure proper on boarding of new hires and off boarding of terminations as it relates to payroll.
Make changes to employee's records as requested such as tax and direct deposit changes.
Prepare and post payroll reports such as 401k spreadsheets, net check reports as needed.
Process Employment verifications within 24 hours of receipt.
Other duties as assigned.
