Jacobs has a .Net Developer opening located at their customer site in the Ft. Meade, MD area.
The individual will:
- Perform software design and development to support systems for a mission-critical function.
-Sustaining production legacy systems, plus the design, development, and implementation of new functionality within existing applications as required
-Design and develop new software systems and/or enhancements to existing systems.
- Maintain existing production systems within the Intelligence Community (IC).
-Work with Team Lead and/or the team’s Requirements Manager to understand functional needs and provide IT solutions for the customers.
-Assist with the development of test plans for any new software deliverable
Must have an Active TS SCI with Polygraph clearance to be considered.
BS degree in a related scientific or engineering discipline from an accredited college or university and ten (10) to fourteen (14) years of progressive experience, or an MS degree in a related scientific or engineering discipline, and eight (8) to twelve (12) years of progressive experience, or a Ph.D. degree in a related scientific or engineering discipline and four (4) to seven (7) years of progressive experience.
Security Certification or willingness to pursue that certification shortly after starting the position
Minimum 10 years of software design and development
Prior military background (as a contractor or as a service member) can be a very large plus, especially any exposure to military or civilian personnel systems, processes, and databases
Demonstrable experience working with these technologies: AngularJS & ASP.NET Web API, ADO.NET & Entity Framework, Windows Forms development; Windows Server, Hyper-V, and IIS
CompTIA Security certification
General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.
Most work will be done at a desk or computer.
Equipment and Machines
General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.
Attendance is critical at all times. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.
